The Client, ISAF (now World Sailing) & Rolex required print collateral for their 2015 World Sailing Awards held in Sanya, China. The concept needed to reflect the location of the event and be inspired by the sport. The chosen concept was based around the ancient Chinese proverb ‘The pursuit of self-improvement is eternal’. Laid, off-white paper stocks were chosen to imitate traditional Chinese rice papers, stepped pages allowed for vertical text in the style of traditional Chinese writing and pop out paper folding inspired by ancient Chinese techniques. All collateral designed in only Rolex brand colours as specified.
